This page features photos of some of the art bras I have made in the past three years.  The idea came to mind as our Associated Artists of Butler County (PA) prepared to host its first ever "Hot Pink" art show (in 2007) to promote awareness of breast cancer, research to fight it, and prevention.  We held Hot Pink for two consecutive years, and I have shown this artwork at other regional shows.  I usually get approached with, "Wow, what is this?", and big grins. 

I will donate ten percent of art bra sales to Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Research.  Thanks for looking!

About the art bras

These are  fun, embellished paper mache and mixed media pieces. The  flaming hot pink or the lacy black number look great displayed on a shelf or suspended on the wall.

The hot pink bras were created created in paper from a pattern created with a size 36C bra "model".  They are embellished with colored tissue paper, costume jewelry, beads, metallic lace, colored rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, and sequins.  One fun customer has made a funky and colorful display featuring a pink art bra in her dining room.

The black lace lovely above ( a 44DD) was sold to a hip customer at a retirement village art show in 2008.  I'm not sure if she displays it in her dining room, though!
